Central Texas Conference Youth in Mission February Update

CTCYM Individual Registration is now open!

If your group registered for CTCYM 2014, your participants may now go online and register.  Please visit www.ctcym.org and select the “Individual Registration” button.  Parents or Guardians will register students, and adults will register themselves.  Registering early will allow you to take advantage of the Early Bird discount, available through March 7th for the June trip to Mississippi, and available through April 4th for the July trip to East Texas. Group Leaders, it is very important to register YOURSELF as soon as possible!

If you feel you are being led to serve on the Living Center Leadership Team, please 1) communicate this to the Group Leader from your church and 2) visit the “For Leadership” page of the CTCYM website to complete the application, preferably before February 28, 2014. On this page you can read the requirements and job description for each leadership role, download leadership manuals, get further information on Leadership Training, and view other leadership resources.

Please mark your calendars for mandatory Adult Leadership Training to be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014 from 1-5 p.m. at Central UMC, Waco.

Thank you to all the Group Leaders and adult sponsors who attended one of the Group Leader Trainings in January. CTCYM believes strongly in well-trained adult leadership, and taking advantage of every informational opportunity will help assure your group has a successful, meaningful, and spiritual mission trip.  We also enjoyed getting to visit with everyone, and were delighted to see all the new friendships forming, and old friendships renewed. If you were not able to make one of the Trainings, please mark your calendar for April 5, 2014 as a Group Leader module was just added to the Adult Leadership Training in Waco. In the meantime, please continue to refer continually to your Group Leader Manual for guidance.

Please do not hesitate to contact MaDora Ratliff or Kyland Dobbins with any questions!
