Attending conferences as continuing education is a fantastic way for your church to invest in you as a youth worker and in the youth ministry in their community. There are lots of conferences to choose from. If you are attending one this year that is not included on this list, please feel free to send it to me so that I can add it. If money would prohibit you from attending a conference, please consider applying for a scholarship from the Central Texas Conference. A limited number of scholarships are given each year and are contingent on asking your church to support you first.
- National Youth Workers Convention – Each year this conference, host by Youth Specialties, has two incredible locations of one awesome conference.
- Perkins School of Youth Ministry – The premier youth ministry conference for United Methodist youth workers! If you’ve been before, it’s time to go back. If you’ve never attended, this is your year! This 4-day conference will change the way you do ministry and will introduce you to great new friends. This is such an important conference, that the CTC is providing 10 scholarships to youth workers who want to attend.
- The Summit – Put on by the Youth Cartel and inspired by TED talks, this year the Summit will focus on soul, mind, and strength.
