What is PUMP?
PUMP is a four day youth gathering (June 21 – 24, 2012) offered by First United Methodist Church of Palmer, Texas. Youth entering grades 4-12 and adults are given the opportunity to serve people with a need living in and around Palmer. PUMP is a great introduction to mission work for many, but also a rewarding time for experienced mission participants!
You will be working with a diverse team to build wheel chair ramps, paint house exteriors, replace porches, clean-up yards and many other great projects. Our homeowners are so thankful for the help, and they often pitch in or provide support during the workday. In addition to the mission projects, you will experience small group discussions, meaningful daily worship and activities
designed to help everyone feel relaxed while sharing a great time together. And we have a lot of fun!
Our goal is to spread the love of Christ not only to those that we serve but to the entire community and to one another! Because we believe that provision for the needy is an important element in the Gospel, we are excited to know we will be participating in the work of Jesus as we share His love.
