All District and Conference Student Leadership teams have been dissolved as of August 1st, 2011. There are currently no District or Conference Student Leadership teams, positions, or leaders in an official capacity.
I apologize for any miscommunication that has caused some of you to hear this for the first time. The Bishop and District Superintendents called for the disbandment of all committees because of the redistricting and reorganization of the conference earlier this year. That information has gone out, but because of staff changes and other communication challenges, I understand some of you have been unclear about the changes.
For students interested in being involved in leadership both now and in the future as we begin to rebuild student leadership opportunities, we have Mid-Winter Retreat Planning Committees being formed. From these two committees, we will begin to build a new leadership structure for youth in our conference.
Mid-Winter Retreats have been scheduled for February 18-19, 2012
and February 25-26, 2012
at Glen Lake Camp. We have two committees leading and executing these retreats. If you are interested in being a part of one of these leadership teams, please answer the following questions and send your responses to firstname.lastname@example.org
1) Name, e-mail address and phone number
2) Where do you attend church?
3) Why do you want to serve on the Mid-Winter Retreat Planning Committee?
4) What unique or special skills do have that would help enhance Mid-Winter?
5) Which Mid-Winter Retreat would you like to help lead? (February 18-19 or February 25-26)
Again, I am very sorry for any frustration, inconvenience, or disappointment this has caused. If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact me.
